Staple Pieces

Transitioning into spring can be difficult. Right now it is hard to purchase spring clothing when it is still winter. However, putting on a grey sweater everyday is bringing your spirits down and you long for the fun prints and bright colors of spring. I personally like to invest in basic pieces that you can easily add color and print to without spending a lot of money. These pieces can come in the form of a basic crew neck to a great pair of denim that makes me feel great every time I wear them. When looking for staple pieces it is important to look at the quality of the material. After all you are going to be wearing these pieces often and do not want it to look old and used. Michael Stars is a great brand to invest in for everyday staples. The fit is comfortable and the material washes great for a top that can be worn for years. To make your staple pieces look new, add an accessory for an easy update. Right now I am craving bold pearl necklaces for a sweet and feminine feel.

Well that is it from me for now. I will continue to give fashion tips and deals this week. Have a wonderful day ladies. Remember you can win a Dogeared Necklace from me this week by adding a comment to this blog on why you should win!

I should win because I am having like the worst week ever. The one highlight was my best friends wedding (which I looked amazing in by the way - and made a wonderful speech that gots so many compliments even though I was a nervous wreck), but the morning of, while we were going to breakfast I got a flat tire (when I was about 1 1/2hrs away from home with lots of driving/errands to do that day) so had to have the donut put on and drive under 50mph all day and night. Then I borrowed my boyfriends car while he brought mine to get fixed and I somehow broke his window (I guess it came off the track but it was too late to get it fixed so had to leave it broken all night and go and tape a garbage bag over it). Oh don't let me forget that 3 days before my friends wedding a piece of my back tooth chipped and fell out somehow. So then this Wednesday I went for my moms bday dinner and (thought I) lost my keys (which HAD a tag with my address on them which I never removed from when the landlord gave them to me) so I was going crazy and crying hysterically and had everyone out and about looking for them and called my landlord telling him all the locks would need to be changed and basically not sleeping due to fear of someone walking into my apartment...and then I found them in my car the next morning in a spot I hadn't thought to look. Then last night I tried to fill my monthly prescription and apparently they are backordered (which they were last month too) with no ETA in sight, at every pharmacy, possibly everywhere. So I had to drive to the opposite side of the city to pick up a new prescription for something that isn't as effective and could do damage to my liver due to one of its other components that you aren't supposed to take in that much of. It's basically been a hell week and I REALLY need the pick me up....

PS - You ASKED why!
